Jog-A-Thon

Owen's preschool had a Jog-A-Thon last month to raise money for their field trips and new supplies for the classrooms. I sent Owen's pledge form with Scott to work and Scott did a great job coercing his coworkers to donate! (Owen collected the most money. Thank you everyone!!)
On Jog-A-Thon day, the families were all invited to come and support their kids (and buy snacks and drinks to raise more money--nothing like a $2 hot dog at 9am!) and play games before they started running.
The laps they were running were pretty small, afterall, these kids are 3, 4 and 5, and so they had the children run in groups. There were 4 groups all together and Owen ran in group 3.
Each child had a paper safety pinned to their back and each time they came to the start/finish line, one of the teachers would cross off a number on their paper showing how many laps they had run. Owen was the first kid to complete all 20 laps!! Most kids stopped between 9 and 11, but Scott and I just kept yelling "Keep going!! You aren't tired yet! You can do it!" (He really wasn't tired---it was pretty amazing to watch him go and go and not break a sweat or start breathing hard!) We were so proud that he finished-and he was so proud of himself! He ran the whole time with his friend Arianna (in the red, above) right behind him--her dad kept saying the same things to her and we all laughed about what great naps they would take that day!

Good Job Owen!!

So happy with himself for finishing!!

All 20 boxes checked!!

Just Like Mommy

Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE ice cream...this is not just love, but LOVE LOVE!! I could (and usually do) eat it everyday. Sometimes twice a day (and yes, even for breakfast!) Guess who also loves ice cream???

Emme is Growing...Kind Of

Our little girl is now 16 pounds (the size of a 6 month old--but we are happy with it! Growth is growth!) and 27 inches long! She got her first tooth at 14 months old (a molar) and now has 2 molars (the first ones to come in all the way). Next came her top 2 front teeth (she will look like a bunny for Easter pictures) and now the bottom 2 front teeth are on their way in. That means 6 teeth in one month! The thing I am most excited about??? Hair!! She is finally getting some hair! Little curls are coming in on the back of her head! Maybe I will get to put barettes on her head afterall...

Hamburger Creature

Owen LOVES to play with his Play-Doh...and this is one of his masterpieces! He created a Hamburger Creature! You should see the things this kid comes up with...
