All done with swim class...

Owen finished his swim classes last week and is such a better swimmer than he was at the start of summer. We decided that we are going to keep him enrolled in swim year round (the pool he takes them at offers classes for kids on Satuday mornings all year).
On their last day of class, the instructors let all the kids put on lifejackets so they could jump off the blocks into the deep end. Owen thought is was sooo much fun!!

Dodgers Game

On the 21st, Scott got great tickets for free from work, so we took the kids to a Dodgers game. Owen got some cotton candy and had a great time watching the game! Emme had fun making faces at the people behind us. Fun night!!

Emme's New Crib

Emme is now a big girl and is sleeping in her crib, instead of the bassinet. She now is crawling and we figured she might try to escape the bassinet! Owen helped me put the crib together then rearrange the furniture in his room to make space for his little sister--as soon as it was all assembled, he wanted to let Emme try it out!

Too cute not to post!!

The swimsuits I bought for Emme had to be adjusted to fit her little body--after I fixed them, I wanted to try them on her and she loved it!!

The kids love eachother so much! Owen is always wanting me to take pictures of the two of them.

The Next Michael Phelps...

Owen has been taking swim classes at the Torrance Plunge everyday since school got out---the first 2 week class was a Parent & Me and now he is in Tadpole Swim (where he goes by himself.) Hopefully he'll be swimming on his own by the end of summer!!

Another beautiful day at the Beach

Our park group has a new schedule for the summer and Mondays are Beach Day!! Just a couple pictures for y'all!!
Ocean and Emme.

The boys burying Owen!

Happy Fourth of July!!

Emme loved everything!

Scott let Owen light some fireworks this year!

Shawn's Grad Luau

Scott's brother Shawn also got his Master's degree (on the same day---Scott will want everyone to know that he technically got his first! Ha ha ha) and had a celebration luau!! So much fun---thanks Shawn & Heidi!!

The cousins enjoying some sno-cones!!

Boys learning a dance

Fire dance; Owen was fascinated!! (I just hope he doesn't try to do this!)

Scott's Graduation & San Francisco

Golden Gate Bridge

Scott graduated with his Master's degree at University of San Francisco-which happens to be a private Jesuit university. So, instead of graduating in a stadium or on the quad (like at CSULB) he got to graduate in this beautiful cathedral that was on campus.

With friends at the reception before graduation.

Owen and Emme are so proud of daddy!!

These houses are called "The Painted Ladies"--very famous SF landmark and right by USF!

Lombard Street (the crooked-est street in the world. Believe me, it is!) Coit Tower and the Bay Bridge are in the background.

Cool building--I took this while stopped at a light.

At the Golden Gate Bridge--it was freezing!!!

Owen checking out the famous sea lions at Fisherman's Wharf-Pier 39

Ghiradelli Square (if you look closely, you can see Owen's blonde head by the white car)

Have you ever seen a kid enjoy an ice cream cone more??

Emme learned how to stick out her tongue---most pictures nowadays feature her tongue!

We drove over to Sacramento to visit friends and family---

Yes, we went to the Jelly Belly Factory, again.

Todd knows I want a Topsy-Turvy and he felt the need to rub it in that he owns one!

Suzie and Owen just hanging out!

Why do people always make funny faces at babies?!??!

At the conclusion of this trip, Emme has decided she no longer likes carseats!
